These terms apply when you download or use DIY Pilot. They are short, so please read them.
The service
DIY Pilot is an app for planning and completing DIY projects. It is provided as it is. We work to keep it stable and improve it, but we cannot promise it will always be available.
Your account
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your login details safe, since you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
Subscriptions and payment
The free tier covers one complete guided project. Premium unlocks unlimited projects and the additional features listed on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Apple handles all payments under its own terms, and you can cancel any time in the App Store.
Acceptable use
Use DIY Pilot lawfully. Do not misuse the service, work around its security, or use it in ways that harm other people.
Safety
Build steps include safety notes, but DIY work carries real risk. You build at your own risk. Follow local rules, use proper protective equipment, and bring in a qualified professional for anything structural, electrical or gas-related. DIY Pilot is not liable for injury, damage or loss arising from a build. Nothing in these terms limits liability for injury to life, body or health, or for intent or gross negligence.
Suggestions are suggestions
Projects, measurements and material lists are generated automatically and can be wrong. Check them against your own space and your own judgement before you cut, drill or buy.
Shopping lists and affiliate commissions
Shopping-list links lead to third-party retailers, who have their own terms. We may earn a commission on purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you.
Intellectual property
The DIY Pilot app, name and design belong to Nicki Eliza Schinow. Your project content stays yours; you give us a limited licence to process it so we can run the service for you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the service. Statutory liability, in particular under the German Product Liability Act and for the cases named under "Safety", remains unaffected.
Changes
We may update these terms. If you keep using the app after a change is published, that counts as acceptance.
Governing law
German law applies. The competent German courts have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules where you live say otherwise.
